Today was an incredible day. I woke up this morning, realized the surf was good on a 70 degree day in April. Packed my truck, grabbed a couple friends... and drove inland. Today was not a beach day. Today was a day to hike up a closed resort that left their halfpipe nicely cut without a track in sight. It's the end of the year and nothing says screw the crappy economy than turning off your cell phone, buying a 12 pack and having an all day t-shirt session with just a few friends. In the course of the day this is what I learned: My friends are way better at snowboarding than me, except in my head when I think Im awesome. I will never have a good photo taken of me. Empty closed resorts with a perfect pipe may be the cure for the worlds ailments. Every run you should go a little higher. In todays economy when our worlds seem to be falling apart, there is no job loss, wage cut or spending cutback that can rip the smile off your face when riding with good friends all day. Heres to goggle tans and sore legs. thank you for today.
